Surface Coating Guide

Deckwood Screws 14# x 85mm 304 stainless
Suitable for 35 and 45mm Deckwood OSA has these screws specially manufactured. They are different to the normal screw (many of which are imported) as they have:

• a smaller head to fit countersinking tools
• extra thread to suit 35mm decking; and…
• wax coated for easier driving into hardwood.

Box quantity is 500.

We also stock 60, 75 and 100mm screws which we generally use for special applications.

Lifeplus screw 10# x 50 304 stainless
Suitable for LifePlus and domestic hardwood and pine decking. Can be used on hardwood or pine joists ex 50mm. Box quantity is 500 (Weight 2.4 kg).

Installation Instructions

Malthoid
Malthoid is recommended for use on domestic and commercial joists. It is stocked in 110, 150 and 300mm wide. The length is 20m.

CN Emulsion
Recommended for applying on all to timber interfaces, as a water repellent on top of the malthoid and sealing the end grain.

Available in 20 litre only. See your local hardware store for 4 litre containers.

Material Safety Data Sheet

CN Oil  
Recommended as the first coating for commercial decking such as boardwalks. Where the oil may be an issue e.g. walking over carpets after coming in from the deck Tanacoat should be used initially.

Available in 20l, 200l and Deckwood and Joistwood is available with the oil pre applied.

Available in 20 litre only. See your local hardware store for 4 litre containers.
