Ipswich is an old mining city adjoining Brisbane. The mine headframe and flying fox seek to recreate the atmosphere of an abandoned coal mine with the flying fox cable leading from the "Engine House" to the headframe then down into the shaft below. The "Engine House" features an old water tank stand and guide panels to an underground engine room.

Once the native grasses ands trees are established the whole feature will appear 'abandoned' adding to the excitement and imagination of the structure's users.

Products by OSA in this very popular park are the flying fox with imitation pit head doors, decking on a small footbridge and a timber entry.
